AM 864, Al Anbar Province, Iraq Itinerant Engineers was sub-contracted by Broadcast Electronics, Inc., of Quincy, IL, to provide installation services for an AM radio station network in western Iraq. Iraqi Media Network programming and Iraqi produced news are rebroadcast to remote areas of the AL Anbar province to provide a forum for the provincial council to communicate with the electorate and allow another distribution method for public service announcements to mitigate escalation of force incidents. Itinerant Engineers handled the complete construction of three AM transmitting sites including buildings, transmission equipment, satellite receive gear, towers, ATU, and grounding systems. In addition, IE built new on-air and production facilities for the network, and upgraded the ATU on the one existing transmission facility, as well as repairing its transmitter. BREAKING NEWS
