When WKGC decided to consolidate their AM and FM transmitter facilities under one roof and update to HD, Itinerant Engineers was there to handle the installation. We installed two brand new HD transmitters and moved their older FM into the new building to be used as a back-up. New RF plumbing including a patch panel and new remote controls and monitoring equipment rounded out the FM side, and a unipole and new ATU was tuned to give the AM much improved performance as compared to their old site. A back-up generator and heavy duty surge suppressors add robustness and redundancy to the site.
